My top 10 most disturbing movies

These are probably the sickest movies I’ve seen. There are a lot more and I’ve seen all of them

10. Twentynine Palms (2003)

Most of this French film is a bore as we watch a couple travel, have sex, and do nothing else. It all seems so pointless. All of a sudden towards the end of the film, there are two scenes of violence that are extremely shocking.

9. Salo (1975)

Also known as the 120 Days of Sodom, the whole film is an exorcise in sadism. It may not be so bad if you like watching shit eating.

8. The Human Centipede 2 (2011)

The first Human Centipede was more disgusting in theory, while this one shows as much as is possible in raunchy and sick detail.

7. Megan is Missing (2011)

This is a found footage movie about a teen girl who meets someone that she initially meets on line. Much of it plays like a TV movie until it ends so horribly and disturbingly.

6. Grotesque (2009)

There are a lot of Japanese movies that are basically an extended torture scene, like The Guinea Pig Series. The difference with Grotesque is that it’s extremely well made, making it all the more effective.

5. Irreversible (2002)

Another French film, and this one contains arguable the most horrific rape and the most horrific murder I’ve ever seen on screen.

4. Cannibal Holocaust (1980)

Oh how I love the Italian cannibal movies. This one, and others, not only feature an abundance of blood and gore, but also real animal killings. Sick indeed.

3. The Men Behind the Sun (1988)

This is a historical war/horror film about the infamous Japanese unit 731 that did horrible experiments on people.

2. A Serbian Film (2010)

Sex meets violence in the most extreme way.

1. Philosophy of a Knife (2008)

Another movie about Japanese unit 731, except this is over 4 hours long and even more horrible.
