NFL Pick of the Week: Week 12

Last week my undefeated streak to start the season reached 11 as the Jaguars+5 held on to cover in a 20-16 loss to the Steelers. The Jags should have won the game, but then that’s why they’re losers. But if you bet the Jags, you’re a winner and that’s all that matters.

This week, for the third week in a row, I’ll be going with a crap team. I’m taking the Oakland Raiders getting 10.5 at Baltimore. The Raiders are a mess, but at least QB Derek Carr hasn’t given up and is having a good season. Oakland’s 2 wins this year have come against rookie QB’s and now they face another in the talented Lamar Jackson. Jackson ran the ball well in his NFL debut last week against the Bengals, but looked shaky passing. The Raven’s game plan should be conservative, and that alone should be enough to keep the score relatively close. If Jackson does indeed need to throw the ball, that’ll be a good thing for our side. Sunny weather in the 50’s will also be a plus for us.

Week 12 pick: Oakland+10.5
Season record: 11-0
