Was it a good move for the Patriots to sign Antonio Brown?

Of course it was, and I’ll give you 3 reasons why.

3. You didn’t have to give up anything except money. If this were a trade, it would be looked at differently.

2. He is one of the best players in the sport and makes your team better. The Pats already have a potent Super Bowl worthy offense. This makes them ridiculous.

1. Defense, as in you prevented him from going somewhere else. What if he had gone to the Chiefs? They are already a handful, but imagine them with a 3 receiver set of Tyreke Hill, Sammy Watkins, and Brown, with Travis Kelce at tight end and Shady McCoy in the backfield. New England may not be the favorite anymore. A player like Brown could also put NFC contenders like the Saints, Rams, Packers, Seahawks, Cowboys, etc., over the top. You not only improved your own team; you prevented another team from taking a big step.
